How to Become A Christian |

|
2008 Mission Trip A group of 22, including children, youth, and adults, left the church Sunday, August 3rd, at 2:00 p.m. and arrived at Calvary Baptist in Hannibal, MO around 5:30 p.m. Work started early the next morning at 7:30 a.m. One crew worked on installing the vinyl siding on the building while another worked on sheet rock. Monday turned out to be an extremely hot day with a heat index of 111 degrees. Some members of the team struggled with heat exhaustion due to the extreme temperatures. Monday afternoon the church lost air conditioning in the area where we were sleeping. The church sent out a member/repairman to look at it and he suggested we start looking at other lodging options. However, after some of our team members prayed for God's help, he was able to make necessary repairs and the a/c was soon cooling again.
Tuesday, we continued with installing vinyl siding and sheet rocking. Around 2 p.m. a severe thunderstorm moved in dumping hail and 2 inches of rain, causing us to take the afternoon off. But, Praise the Lord, cooler temperatures followed for the remainder of the week. The team finished up the siding on Wednesday and on Thursday they joined the team working on the sheet rock and finished up their work. We headed home Thursday afternoon ahead of schedule.
If you have never participated in a mission trip such as this, we highly recommend you join us on our next trip. This is a wonderful opportunity to build relationships with other Christians and serve the Lord.
